✈️ Our Trips to Tanzania

Each year during our trips to Tanzania, I come home with countless reminders of just how great the need is for the Tanzanian people to hear about the hope found in Jesus Christ. Whether through conversations with children, time spent with widows, or witnessing the daily struggles families face, God faithfully opens my eyes to opportunities to share His love and hope with those who need it most.

My 2019 trip, it was the brokenness and despair I saw in the eyes of so many widows.

In 2022, it was the late night call hearing of the loss of a 14 year old orphan who simply needed some medication for malaria.

Our trip in 2023, revealed a lack of compassion as a college teacher and other students showed hostility to another student who had made several attempts to take her own life.

In 2024, seeing the joy in our drivers eyes as he gathered up our leftover chicken bones from dinner to take home to his children.

This picture below was from our trip last year. As we spent time with the children playing games, a young man approached on of our team members. He was hungry and was in great need of food.

The needs before us are great, but so is the opportunity to share the hope of Christ.

This upcoming mission trip is more than a journey—it is an opportunity to encourage pastors, strengthen local church leaders, visit sponsored children, minister to widows, and continue building relationships that allow Hope Is Strong Ministries to serve effectively year-round.

While our local partners faithfully serve every day, these visits provide encouragement, training, accountability, and hands-on support that help strengthen ministry efforts for the months ahead.
