Child Sponsorship FAQ

We are so grateful you are considering sponsoring a child through Hope Is Strong Ministries. Below are answers to common questions to help you understand how the program works and the impact your partnership makes.

Why does Hope Is Strong believe child sponsorship is important?

Child sponsorship creates consistent, relational support for a child while strengthening the local church and community around them.

We believe sponsorship is important because it:

• Provides stability in education and nutrition
• Encourages spiritual growth through discipleship
• Strengthens families with dignity
• Creates long-term transformation, not short-term relief

Sponsorship allows you to walk faithfully alongside a child and witness real growth over time.

Where does my sponsored child live?

All children in this program live in Tanzania, where we partner with local churches and leaders to provide education, care, and spiritual encouragement through Watoto Kwanza Primary School.

How do I select a child?

What does $25 per month provide?

Your $25 monthly sponsorship helps provide:

• Education support and school-related needs
• Nutritional assistance
• Discipleship and spiritual encouragement
• Safe, Christ-centered learning environment

While you are connected to a specific child, funds are stewarded through a community-based program to ensure sustainability and accountability for all students.

What will I receive throughout the year?

You sponsorship is an opportunity to see transformation in the life of a vulnerable child.
Throughout the year, you will receive:

• Photos of your child
• Updates on growth and progress
• Letters when available
• Ministry updates from the school and church

You will be able to witness how consistent support makes a difference in a child’s life.

Do I have to pay with a credit card?

No. You may sponsor in one of two ways:

Why should I send my child letters?

Encouragement makes a meaningful difference, and staying connected with your child helps nurture a strong and lasting relationship.

A simple letter reminds your child that:

• They are seen
• They are prayed for
• They are valued

Your words can build confidence, faith, and hope in meaningful ways.

One time a year we take your letters to your child in Tanzania. Please mail your letters for your child to Hope is Strong Ministries, Inc P.O. Box 1594 Joshua, TX 76058.

What if my child is no longer being served by the program?

Occasionally, children may relocate, graduate, or transition out of the program.

If that happens:

• You will be notified promptly
• You will receive updates
• You will have the option to sponsor another child or continue supporting the program

Our goal is to ensure every sponsor remains informed and every child remains supported.

What if I don’t have $25 per month but still want to help?

We understand that everyone’s financial situation is different. You can still make a difference!

You may:

• Partner with a friend or family member to sponsor a child together
• Make a one-time or smaller recurring donation
• Help provide needed items through our Amazon wish list
