“Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.” Psalm 47:1
Four years ago, we launched the Widows Ministry at Nyasura Baptist Church. Below is a picture from one of the first Bible Study meetings.

I can remember back to my first trip to Bunda, Tanzania in 2019. My heart sank when I saw eyes that were filled with heartbreak, trauma, loss of hope and loneliness. So much that I couldn’t even comprehend.
The next year, during our Widow’s Conference, we had the joy in learning their stories and hearing how they have seen God work through the unimaginable times. My favorite part was seeing eyes that where no longer filled with hopelessness and brokenness, but filled with joy that only comes from the Lord.

Through the past four years, with your support, we have provided some corn and monetary gifts that allowed them to buy their household needs. This year was our first step into a self-sustainable future for many of them as you sponsored their micro-businesses. During our visit in September, we heard from a few of them who praised God and thank God for you. Take a few minutes to hear their stories.
Please keep praying for these ladies. Some are purchasing machines to grind corn and will be working together to sell it. More updates to come later.
In addition, the widows received a special love offering of material. They are excited to have matching outfits for special church events. We praise God for this wonderful gift! This goes perfectly with the sewing kits given by our local Women’s Mission Union (WMU). I told them next up, sewing classes…haha!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring for our widows. They are family to each of us as we get to know them more and more each time we visit them.
