Our team returned from Tanzania this past Friday morning. While we are each still adjusting to the time difference, our daily routines and even the changes in food, I can’t help but be filled with joy from all that God has provided during the trip!

We are so thankful to the many of you who have supported us in so many ways, the WMU for the sewing kits we gave to widows, the GA girls for the socket puppets we gave to the children’s leaders, the jump rope and cars we used to build new relationships and most of all the intercession of prayer! God worked through each one of you.

The list of blessings from this trip is so amazing that I want to start by just sharing some highlights here and then I will share them specifically throughout extra newsletters this month.

2024 Mission Trip Praises:

  • Bible Club at Biharamulo BC – Several children accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
  • Men’s Conference at Biharamulo BC – They formed their first Men’s Ministry! Praying for men to rise up!
  • First visit to Nyamikoma Church – our team member Karl made a quick visit on Friday morning, Sept. 6th. He was welcomed by so many children and church members. He shared some toys and played with the children.
    The following day, the Pastor sent a note stating, “a very strange revival” occurred after he left. We praise God for using these small touches to bring such hope!
  • Leadership Conference in Bunda – We agreed to claim a special day that will be celebrated both in Tanzania and in the U.S. to collect children’s clothing and donations, it will be called Hope is Strong Day! More details to come…
  • Men’s Conference at Nyasura BC – They also formed their first Men’s Ministry! Please be in prayer for them. If you’d are interested in supporting this ministry please let me know. More details to come…
  • Widows Micro-Business updates – Many of you have sponsored a widow and their new business. We have received updates and praises that we will share soon.
  • CCET (Centre for Community Empowerment and Transformation) – We were blessed to see the progress of the future orphanage. Materials to start building will be brought in soon!

Ways God is Growing the Ministry:

We are seeing a new phase of ministry this year as God continues working in His mighty ways!

  • Development of the Men’s Ministry – Reaching Fathers, the leaders of the homes.
  • We are now an official NGO in Tanzania – Hope is Strong Foundation!
  • Our Hope is Strong Tanzanian team continue going out to area churches leading children and youth conferences. We are so proud of them and their desire to serve and disciple the next generation!
