Back to School

Children in both, Zambia and Tanzania head back to school on Monday, January 8th. Will you join us in prayer for the teachers as they prepare for their arrival?

We took the pictures above last year when we visited the Kids Connection Preparatory School in Zambia. These children will not be walking into bright and beautifully decorated classrooms. There are not enough seats for each of them, so many squeeze in tightly or find a spot on the floor. Though their school rooms are in very poor condition, these children are thankful to have place that they can go and be encouraged about their future.

The school is led by Pastor Isaac who has a great passion for these children.

We partnered with Pastor Isaac in March of 2022 when, at that time, his school attendance was over 400 children. Last semester, the school enrollment was over 500.

We are praying that this year, we are able to come alongside of them to help with some building improvements.

During our Leadership Training in Bunda, Tanzania this past Fall, I had the opportunity to hear the challenges that many of the children’s teachers where facing in their ministries.

Here are a few:

Lack of resources
No or little curriculum
Lack of parent involvement
Children not allowed to attend (some due to lack of clothes and some due to parental decisions)

I was able to make a list of all 27 leaders who attended, I promised them that I would be praying for them. While I have continued to do so, I thought it would be great to start sharing some names with you and have you join me in praying.

For January, please pray for the following leaders:
