It’s Not Too Late to Give Hope in 2023
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior;
my God will hear me. Micah 7:7
Showing Love
It’s seems just like yesterday that I was in Tanzania, Africa, however it’s already been a few months since our 2023 mission trip. I think of those sweet widows often and ask God to continue drawing them closer to Him.
During that mission trip, I shared the Bible story “Jesus Washes His Disciples’ Feet” from John 13.
After I shared the amazing way Jesus showed love to his disciples, I prepared them for the way we wanted model this example to serve them as well. Of course, after our translator told them the news, many giggled and a few became shy and very leery of what was about to happen.
One by one, we set out chairs for those who were ready to participate. I noticed quite a few of them sitting off to the side along the school building. They were watching to see just what us Americans were up to.
Our team started taking turns, washing and drying the feet of those who were ready. Then we added a little 21st century touch with nail polish…haha! It wasn’t too long before the widows who were watching allowed us to serve them too.
What a blessing it was!
Each year we go to Tanzania it’s an opportunity build a relationship, not only with us but with God.
We will be planning for our 2024 mission trip soon. Will you start praying now about joining us?

School is out for both Tanzania and Zambia until January 8th, 2024. Will you pray for the children during this time? They rely on the one meal that the receive during the school day. For many, it may be the only meal they receive each day.
